Job Title: Senior Finished Goods (FG) Planner

Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Drop Shipping Process Oversight:
  • Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the direct drop-shipping process from XTD to global customers.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of drop-shipment orders from identification and routing through XTD fulfillment, transportation, customs clearance, and final customer delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the new drop-shipping model.
• Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:
  • Act as the central point of contact and orchestrator for all internal stakeholders involved in the drop-shipping process, including XTD Operations, Sales, Customer Service, IT, Logistics, Finance, and Trade Compliance.
  • Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving with external partners, such as international freight carriers and customs brokers.
  • Provide regular updates and performance reports to management and cross-functional teams.
• On-Time Delivery (OTD) Accountability:
  • Be directly accountable for monitoring, analyzing, and driving the on-time delivery performance for all XTD direct drop shipments.
  • Proactively identify potential delays or roadblocks in the supply chain and implement preventative or corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to consistently meet or exceed OTD targets for global customers.
• Planning & Execution:
  • Collaborate with demand planning and XTD production teams to ensure finished goods availability for drop-shipping requirements.
  • Manage order fulfillment queues and prioritize shipments to meet customer commitments.
  • Coordinate with logistics and XTD teams for optimal shipping schedules, capacity utilization, and carrier selection.
• Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the drop-shipping process, including OTD, lead time, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for any deviations from performance targets and lead initiatives to implement sustainable solutions.
  • Actively seek opportunities to simplify the distribution network, reduce process waste (Muda), and enhance overall operational efficiency, aligning with Kaizen principles.
• System & Data Management:
  • Ensure accurate data management within ERP, WMS, TMS, and other relevant systems pertaining to drop shipments.
  • Collaborate with IT to support system enhancements or integrations required for seamless drop-shipping operations.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Work closely with Trade Compliance to ensure all international drop shipments adhere to customs regulations, export controls, and import requirements of destination countries.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with global direct shipping.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or finished goods management within a global manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in managing international shipping processes, ideally with direct-to-customer or drop-shipping models.
  • Demonstrated success in improving on-time delivery and process efficiency.
• Skills:
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively coordinate with diverse internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), WMS, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and global logistics best practices.
  • Lean/Six Sigma or Kaizen methodology experience is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications:

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience in the life sciences or medical device industry.
• Familiarity with the Beckman Coulter distribution network.
