The Manager Quality Control is responsible for managing day-to-day quality control activities, including routine incoming inspection and new materials and parts verification. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulatory standards and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality standards across operations. Additionally, he/she is responsible for directly working to resolve quality problems and close process gaps and implement corrective actions where applicable; and maintain accurate quality records in compliance with the SCIEX Quality System.
This position reports to the Director QARA and is part of the QARA Department located in Singapore and will be an on-site role, manage a group of Quality Technicians.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Oversee daily operations of the Quality Control team, ensuring timely and accurate inspection of incoming materials and components.
- Implement and maintain quality processes aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and US 21 CFR 820 requirements, participate and support internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sourcing/Buyer, Planning, Manufacturing, R&D, QA) to resolve quality issues (e.g., NCMR, Complaints, etc) and drive continuous improvement to close process gaps by applying problem-soling tools (e.g., 5WHY, Fishbone, 8D, etc).
- Provide training and guidance to team members and third-party logistics inspectors on quality standards and processes.
- Support Senior Leadership team by sponsoring innovative ideas to improve Quality operation, by recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities in processes, to optimize results to improve quality of delivery, meeting quality standards requirements deliverable according with Company and Customer requirements.
- Collaborating and gathering data to identify and interpret performance trends/metrics, analyzes, summarizes, and communicates pertinent information to management. Ensure timely, accurate and complete data reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Implement benchmark and best-practice activities in all areas of responsibilities to maintain exceptionally high levels of quality and compliance across the Danaher OpCos.
The essential requirements of the job include
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 3–5 years in quality-related functions, preferably in manufacturing or medical devices with knowledge of ISO standards, FDA QSR, and quality system principles.
- 1–2 years of people management experience.
- Experience with audits and regulatory compliance.
- Ability of work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment preferred.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel –5% travel, overnight, within territory or occasional international travel
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Medical Device Industry
- Professional designations not required but training and certification in quality or regulatory affairs are a plus (e.g. CQM, CQE, CQA, RAC, Six sigma, Lean)

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
