The Role
The Field Scientific Engineer – Contamination & Filtration Technologies plays a critical, hands-on role in delivering advanced contamination control and filtration solutions to customers in the Energy sector (Oil & Gas, Refineries, Polymers, and Chemicals).
You will independently lead on-site technical assessment surveys, identify process bottlenecks, design and execute contamination sampling and analysis campaigns, validate technologies through semi-industrial field testing, and translate data into clear technical recommendations and Pall solutions. This role combines strong scientific depth with field execution and direct customer engagement.
This position reports to the KSA Service Manager, is part of the Services Department, is based in KSA, and covers Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The role is primarily on-site, with significant field and customer exposure.
In This Role, You Will Have the Opportunity To
Prepare and manage field activity documentation, including work protocols, JSAs, HIPs, and participation in HAZOPs as required (≈10%).

Lead contamination sampling and analysis campaigns at customer sites, including:
Initial site visits and technical scoping
Definition of service methodology and tools
Technical review of commercial proposals (when required)
Participation in kick-off meetings
Execution of on-site field activities
Preparation of daily updates and final technical reports
(≈75%)
Perform laboratory analyses and coordinate with global SLS laboratories for advanced testing and failure analysis, delivering clear technical conclusions and recommendations to improve contamination control and process performance (≈15%).
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
2–4 years of experience as a Process or Chemical Engineer
Previous field-based engineering experience
Strong analytical, reporting, and customer-facing skills
Travel & Physical Requirements
Willingness and ability to travel extensively (≈70%), including overnight travel within the territory
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 20 kg
Nice to Have
Experience in gas plants, petrochemical plants, or refineries
Background with licensors or process solution providers
Hands-on laboratory procedures and analytical testing
Familiarity with ASTM and SAES standards
