The Sr. UI Developer is responsible for:
- Leading development efforts for enterprise-grade image analysis software, ensuring successful project delivery and high standards of software quality.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain image analysis applications.
- Designing, developing, and unit testing applications in accordance with established standards.
- Supporting the migration of legacy applications to current technologies and developing integrations between applications.
- Analyzing and resolving technical and application problems, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Guide development efforts towards successful project delivery.
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by following good practices and habits.
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Support deployment of releases and continuous integration/deployment environments.
- Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to current technologies.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Long-standing experience as a Software Developer (typically 8+ years).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise developing rich, single-page browser applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, D3, Highcharts, FabricJS).
- Experience in imaging technologies and WebGL/ITK/VTK tools.
- Knowledge of effective UI unit testing frameworks and REST fundamentals.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Master’s degree in computer science is a plus.
- Cloud technologies and big-data cloud scalability.
- Experience with GIT, Bitbucket, Gradle, NoSQL (Cassandra, Hadoop, MongoDB).
- Experience utilizing CI techniques for UI (e.g., Bower, Grunt, Jasmine, JSCoverage).
