As R&D Specialist, you will be the technical authority, driving product integrity and lifecycle excellence. Your decisions on design, verification, and engineering changes will directly influence product reliability, manufacturability, and compliance, ensuring successful transfer to production.

In this role, you will shape the technical roadmap and governance for a complex product, aligning cross-functional teams and securing timely execution of critical milestones. Your leadership will have a significant impact on organizational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

This position reports to the R&D Director and is part of the Hardware and Packaging Development, R&D team located in Stargard and will be an on-site role, with a dotted-line reporting to the R&D organization in Denmark.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Act as the technical authority for ABL9SP, owning the product’s design integrity and lifecycle governance.

  • Approve critical product documentation and engineering changes, ensuring compliance and readiness for production transfer.

  • Drive technical decision-making through PLM Board participation and stakeholder alignment across R&D, Operations, and Quality.

  • Lead risk management activities, including DFMEA, and oversee verification and validation results for product acceptance.

  • Coordinate technical priorities and resource needs, influencing the success of a highly complex product in a regulated environment.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Proven experience in managing technically complex products and leading cross-functional teams. Capability to make technical decisions and drive product lifecycle governance.

  • Strong knowledge of design control processes from the medical industry or transferable from other highly regulated sectors. Hands-on experience with PLM processes, engineering changes, and risk management (DFMEA).

  • Technical education in engineering, chemistry, or equivalent.

  • Ability to operate in an environment with high quality and compliance demands. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent English (B2/C1)

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – available to travel estimated 5% of workdays, mainly Denmark

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
