Danaher Science and Technology (S&T) Office is tasked with fostering long-term expansion of Danaher’s Diagnostics, Life sciences, and Biotechnology platforms through a dual approach of internal and external innovation. The S&T office’s core functions include:

• Setting Danaher’s science and technology strategy.
• Enhancing the company’s portfolio of innovative solutions by pursuing organic growth and strategic alliances across all application domains.
• Establishing Danaher as a leading voice in the healthcare sector, enhancing its academic influence and brand reputation.
• Encouraging the dissemination of innovation best practices and nurturing a culture of innovation within the organization.

The AI & Innovation DBSL, Danaher China will drive the execution and successful implementation of AI and innovation initiatives by leveraging DBS tools, mentoring skills, and change management process. This position reports to Chief Scientific Officer, Danaher China.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with AI committee members and business leaders to establish Danaher China AI strategy, which involves identifying use cases, assessing business impacts, and setting initiative priorities.
• Develop tailored processes for AI and innovation initiatives by leveraging existing DBS tools and resources.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, partnering closely with the technical leaders and PMO to drive forward and execute AI and innovation projects.
• Partner with HR to cultivate AI and innovation talents while fostering a supportive culture.
• Develop and execute partnership strategies, including pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, academic institutions, hospital leaders and government entities, to advance Danaher’s innovations strategy.
• Coordinate global and China cross-functional teams, with a focus on driving and implementing BEACON, Nexus, Pioneer, and open innovation initiatives.
• Strategic market intelligence to identify AI and innovation oppotunities and support with DBS.
• Ensure productive kaizen events (well planned, executed and sustained).
• Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of business experience, including leadership roles.
• Must be hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture.
• Need to be able to think strategically and view the business from a senior leader standpoint.
• Will need to be a quick study who can rapidly adapt to Danaher’s culture and gain the confidence of the Danaher organization.
• This person will be highly energetic and able to handle conflict.
• Will be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations.
• Experience in project management, partnership management, partnership strategy development, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent cross-culture interpersonal, organization, communication and influencing skills, in both Chinese and English.
• Ability to influence various stakeholders to effect change and achieve results in a dynamic, complex environment.
• Extensive, active and relevant professional network.
