The objective of the Intern Student UX Designer is to gain hands-on experience in user-centred design within an agile software development environment, building proficiency in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.

This position reports to the Product Department leadership and is part of the Product Department, located in Woking, Surrey and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work closely with agile product and engineering teams to design experiences that ship to production.
• Conduct user research and usability testing; synthesise insights into actionable design recommendations.
• Create and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and UI specifications for cloud-native, web-based SaaS applications.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Currently enrolled in a university honours or master’s degree course with a “placement year in industry” (or similar).
• Studying User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Design, or a related discipline (or demonstrating strong interest and proven ability in UX research, wireframing, prototyping, or usability testing).
• Eligible to start an industrial placement in August 2026 for approximately one year.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience with UX design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD); working knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles (e.g., WCAG) and/or design systems; and familiarity collaborating in agile teams with product and engineering stakeholders.
