The Sales Manager, Beer (Europe), is responsible for spearheading a team dedicated to the beer market throughout Europe. This role will involve leading and managing a team of sales professionals focused on the beer market in Europe, providing guidance, mentoring, and strategic direction to achieve the expected revenue growth in the team as part of our Food & Beverage business. This position extends beyond individual sales duties; it emphasizes team development, performance management, and the promotion of excellence throughout the entire sales process.

This position reports to the Director, Sales (EMEA), is part of the EMEA sales team and is an onsite role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Revise the strategy by creating and executing target market initiatives and a comprehensive business plan for our beer segment. Offer strategic insights into sales leadership and team management to enhance the growth and success of our F&B business and, ultimately, Pall. Propel innovation in sales strategies, processes, and practices to ensure we maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Identify market expansion opportunities and collaborate with management and the team to capitalize on growth prospects. Coach and support the sales team to increase market share by expanding the pipeline and creating opportunities. Provide feedback to executive management on market trends, competitive analysis, and growth opportunities.
  • Oversee and maintain key client relationships, acting as the escalation point for complex client interactions. Network and build high-level connections with key decision-makers to secure framework agreements and partnerships. Uphold the company’s positive reputation and brand image as a respected representative in the market.
  • Coach and support the sales team to grow the business by meeting and exceeding monthly order and sales targets. Manage and allocate resources effectively, maintaining territory mapping. Accurately report team performance, including forecasts, strategic account plans, and comprehensive analyses. Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals by setting clear expectations, providing mentorship, and fostering a positive team culture. Identify training needs and deliver ongoing skill development and training to the sales team. Recruit and onboard new sales team members, ensuring a smooth transition into the team. Establish clear direction, set goals, targets, and milestones. Address and resolve conflicts and challenges within the sales team, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Strategic business insight and sales techniques with demonstrable success in sales.
  • Ability to leverage a CRM, Sales Force (SFDC) and process and sales enablement tools to drive teams..
  • Prior experience in managing commercial teams in Europe.
  • Strong networking, collaboration, and relationship-building skills in a matrix organisation.

It is an advantage if you also have the following:

  • a blend of technical knowledge, brewery‑process understanding, and commercial experience selling technical equipment or consumables to breweries or related industries.K
  • Knowledge of serving the beer market
  • A continuous improvement experience and mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
