The Process Engineer (f/m/d) is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves working closely with production teams and other departments to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
This position is located close to Munich with a newly renovated factory in Baierbrunn.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Engineering Projects: Lead and manage engineering projects and design changes from concept through to implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Process Optimization & Capability: Demonstrated expertise in process capability analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Root Cause & Trend Analysis: Identifying high-impact issues (“top hitters”) and utilizing data-driven approaches to pinpoint areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Conducting comprehensive data analyses to develop and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Digital Integration: Collaborating closely with the digitization team to ensure accurate collection, recording, and secure storage of process data.
- Process Validation: Managing all stages of process validation, including development of User Requirement Specifications (URS), performing Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (pFMEA), and executing IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Master’s degree in Manufacturing/Production or Process Engineering or similar and extensive experience in manufacturing processes (+5 years).
- Strong project leadership skills and knowledge of project management tools (e.g. Miro, Smartsheet).
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/DBS, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Good knowledge of data analysis, automation tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate), CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English and German
A plus would be:
- Experience in ISO 13485
- Experience with PLC SW (Programmable Logic Controller)
