The Customer Support Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and support to Cepheid’s US Market. This role serves as the first point of contact for US-based customers, managing inbound and outbound calls and emails, processing orders, and resolving or escalating inquiries or concerns related to Cepheid’s diagnostic products. The Customer Support Representative ensures prompt and accurate documentation of customer interactions, contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Associates in this group will have opportunities to contribute to impactful projects that improve operational efficiency, develop expertise in advanced order management systems and quality compliance practices, master effective customer service strategies, and grow within a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
This position is part of the Customer Care department and will be located in Brazil (Remote). At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Act as the first point of contact for US-based customers, handling inbound calls and emails to provide basic product support, resolve routine inquiries and complaints, and accurately process orders using Cepheid’s systems—escalating complex issues as needed.
- Support customer training for online order processing and tracking and case creation on MyCepheid.
- Adhere to Quality Management System procedures through proper and concise documentation of product or technical inquiries and complaints.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Perform additional duties as identified by the Contact Center Manager.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages would be an advantage – French, Spanish, Portuguese)
- Prior experience in customer service or call center support.
- Available to work different shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary to support US customers.
It would be a plus if you also possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science
- Previous work experience in Biotechnology, Medical Device Industry or Medical Technology (or equivalent)
