The Manufacturing Site Director is responsible for the manufacturing of critical reagents used in the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics and Life Sciences Businesses. The products include Hematology, Flow Cytometry and Particle Standards systems
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Operations and is part of the Miami Operations team located in Hialeah, Florida and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide Direction to lead site's Operations and staffing, while meeting safety objectives, product Quality, Delivery and Productivity
- Hire, develop and retain talent in support of sites goal’s and customers’ expectations.
- Drive Continuous Process Improvement
- Generate budgets and control expenses related to labor, controllable expenses and manufacturing variances
- Lead/Interact with site’s function such as Materials, Procurement, Quality and EHS
- Mentor the team through Product and Process related technical Investigations.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor Degree in Technical Field (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) or Engineering (e.g. Chemical Engineering) and 14+ years of relevant experience OR Master/Doctoral Degree with 12+ years of experience and at least 4 years of experience in managing people.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing and GMP environment
- Demonstrated working experience with ERP (Oracle) and Quality Systems
- Experience leading manufacturing teams to maintain alignment to a fast paced production schedule.
- Experience leading the implementation of improvements to technical and business processes.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Medical Device Manufacturing
- Continuous Improvement certification
