In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Analyse equipment and line performance to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
- Lead and support structured troubleshooting and root cause investigations using recognised problem‑solving methodologies (e.g. PSP, DIVE).
- Act as a technical escalation point between Maintenance Technicians and Engineering for complex issues.
- Collaborate with Value Stream Managers to prioritise maintenance activities and maximise operational impact.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, maintenance procedures, and technical reports.
- Support training and knowledge transfer within the maintenance team, particularly for new or upgraded equipment.
- Initiate and support Engineering Change Controls related to maintenance activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using standard work, Daily Management, and Lean tools.
- Communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Level 8 qualification in Maintenance, Engineering, or related discipline OR equivalent relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands‑on experience in maintenance, automation, or equipment support.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues using structured problem‑solving tools.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Automated medium‑ to low‑volume manufacturing equipment.
- Regulated environments (cGMP, FDA QSR, ISO standards, including ISO 13485).
- Equipment upgrades, new installations, or robotics/automation projects.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Coaching, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to technicians.
- Maintenance event coordination (planning, execution, impact awareness).
- Training delivery or “train‑the‑trainer” experience.
