The Senior Product Manager – Innovation is responsible for supporting and leading innovation-focused product initiatives that drive growth and differentiation in the DNA portfolio.

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Product Management – DNA, and is part of the Strategy and Marketing Department located in Fargo, ND, and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify unmet customer needs in relevant market segments and develop new product/service concepts in partnership with R&D to meet these needs, utilizing market trends and leveraging new technological advances
  • Manage innovation projects through the stage gate process, including producing robust business cases with clear success criteria for launch
  • Maintain strong customer and market insights in partnership with the Strategy team through qualitative/quantitative research and customer engagement, including regular analysis of trends, competitors, channels, and standards to inform next projects to bring through the stage gate process
  • Manage and prioritize innovation opportunities for the Business Unit l in partnership with the R&D and Strategy teams
  • Collaborate with Commercial Product Management to support go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • B.S. or B.A. required. Advanced degree in a scientific field strongly preferred (e.g. molecular biology, biology, biotechnology, biochemistry)
  • Prefer 7+ years of experience in a client-facing role as a project, program, or account manager within the life sciences, with preference for 3+ years in a CDMO environment
  • Experience managing projects and contracts in a regulated biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device-related field is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to forecast risks and implement sustainable solutions
  • Strong cell and gene therapy and life science industry understanding

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Demonstrated success with stage gate processes
  • Deployment and utilization of customer and market insight frameworks
  • Strong analytical background
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems independently with a solution-oriented mindset.

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $130,000-$155,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
