The 3rd Party and Intercompany Procurement Manager is responsible for all procurement activities for third‑party finished goods (3PFG), indirect services supporting Commercial Operations, and intercompany purchasing across the global network. The manager ensures compliant, timely, and cost‑effective procurement while driving supplier performance, process standardization, and alignment with Strategic Sourcing, Supply Planning, Finance, and Commercial Operations. They own the policy‑to‑execution connection, ensuring all procurement activities meet corporate policies, Delegation of Authority, quality standards, and end‑to‑end supply chain requirements.
This position reports to the Global Planning and Materials Management Director and is part of the Integrated Supply Chain team located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Own end-to-end buying for 3rd-party finished goods (3PFG)—from RFQ through PO placement—ensuring adherence to DoA, Non‑BOM policy, sourcing governance, and standard work (PIR/Source List, quoting traceability, technical review).
- Oversee intercompany purchasing execution across regions, aligning to global pricing, SLAs, inventory strategies, and resolving blocks, mismatches, and GR/IR issues with Operations and Finance.
- Convert PRs to accurate, timely POs; maintain clean master data and documentation (quotations, costing sheets, T&Cs, Legal/IT/Finance approvals) to enable right‑first‑time execution.
- Coordinate logistics and drop‑shipments with required regional/customer documentation; escalate supply risks, backorders, and service impacts with clear action plans.
- Partner with Strategic Sourcing on competitive RFQs, supplier performance reviews, contracting/updates, and vendor consolidation to reduce spend-in-tail.
- Measure and improve supplier performance (OTD, PPC, cost, lead time); lead root‑cause/corrective actions on delays, invoice discrepancies, and recurring procurement blocks.
- Drive continuous improvement using DBS/Lean (Kaizen, standard work) to reduce cycle time, improve working capital, and strengthen the policy-to-execution linkage
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management in a global manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in 3rd‑party procurement, supplier qualification, and intercompany purchasing flows.
- Strong knowledge of SAP (PIRs, Source Lists, PR‑to‑PO, GR/IR, intercompany processes), MRP, and procurement best practices.
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional approvals (Legal, Sourcing, Finance, IT Security, Engineering).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier‑management capabilities.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel – Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 10-30% annually
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience with global supplier networks and multi‑region logistics or drop‑ship processes.
- Familiarity with technical review requirements and product qualification workflows for 3PFG.
- DBS/Lean/Kaizen certification or hands‑on experience.
- Experience interfacing with Commercial Operations (Sales RFQs, bid/no‑bid, MOQ evaluation).
