What you’ll do

• Translate voice‑of‑customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market trends into clear inputs for business strategy, portfolio roadmap, and product development priorities
• Lead business evaluation of business development (BD) initiatives, including strategic fit, value creation potential, and commercial impact
• Own the full life‑cycle management of Biacore surface plasmon resonance (SPR) instruments, from portfolio strategy through end‑of‑life decisions
• Build business cases and financial models, working closely with R&D to explore product ideas, define product concepts, and develop differentiated solutions that address unmet customer needs
• Be accountable for the designated product portfolio, ensuring customer expectations are met in terms of functionality, quality, and product supply
• Define and bring new products to market in line with the overall business strategy, ensuring strong cross‑functional alignment
• Drive product success through effective launch and post‑launch activities, including development and delivery of launch and training materials
• Represent Cytiva, Biacore, and your products externally, while establishing and managing a broad network of internal and external collaborations

Who you are

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in biochemistry or a related life‑science field; PhD is preferred
• Experience in product management or a closely related commercial role (e.g. business development, strategy, marketing, applications, or sales) within a life‑science, biotech, or analytical instrumentation environment
• Strong business acumen, with experience contributing to portfolio strategy, business cases, financial models, or commercial decision‑making
• Technical understanding of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) instrumentation or applications is highly valued
• Experience within drug discovery or adjacent research environments is highly desirable
