Are you looking to use your mechanical design engineering skills to help solve challenging aerospace filtration needs? The Engineer II – Aerospace is responsible for independently developing and checking mechanical designs for aerospace filtration products, ensuring solutions meet customer specifications and are safe, reliable, robust, and optimized for manufacture, operation, and maintenance.
This position is part of Pall’s Global Aerospace Engineering team and will be located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Generate and check mechanical designs that meet customer requirements, balancing performance, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost.
Participate in and take ownership of technical meetings with internal teams, customers, and suppliers, contributing clear and effective technical communication.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement and VAVE initiatives, identifying and applying new technologies, processes, and design improvements.
The essential requirements of the job include:
B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Aerospace/equivalent)
Min 5-6 yrs experience in a relevant mechanical or aerospace engineering role.
Understanding of mechanical design principles for aircraft air and fluid systems, with the ability to contribute to subsystem‑level design within the broader aircraft system.
Ability to independently create and refine 3D models, 2D drawings, and supporting design data using global drawing standards (BS8888 / ANSI Y14.5 or equivalent).
Application of manufacturing process knowledge to make informed design decisions and collaborate on process improvements.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Exposure to manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, forming, moulding/casting, and sealing mechanisms.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical product issues with customers and suppliers.
