The R&D Engineering Technician for Cytiva is responsible for assisting in Research & Development projects conducted within the department whilst also helping with the general day -to-day running of the site. These projects may relate to the development of new products and/or technical investigations required to support the sale of existing products.
The work will involve, ownership of laboratory H&S, test risk assessments, 5S and act as main point of contact for off-site R&D laboratory facility, ensuring good housekeeping, supervising and improving safety policies. Day-day running of the Langstone Park site, including managing on-site storage, fork-lift truck operation, goods-in/out. As well as ownership of Harbourgate applications lab’ maintenance activities (inventory, calibrations and servicing) and perfusion run preparations (manifold/media prep’).
This position is part of the Harward Solutions located in Harbourgate although role will be predominantly based at Langstone Park and will be an onsite role.
What you will do:
Performing laboratory investigations.
Complete mechanical tests of prototype products and report the results.
Design, develop & document new test methods.
