The Digital Pathology Commercial Development Specialist is responsible for driving the commercial growth and adoption of Digital Pathology solutions in Korea, with a strong focus on complex, solution-based opportunities and new business development. This role plays a critical function in accelerating enterprise-level Digital Pathology adoption by bridging commercial execution with technical solution development.
This hybrid role blends strategic business development, solution architecture, and project leadership, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Applications, Service, IT, and external partners to deliver successful digital pathology projects and improve win rates.
Depending on the opportunity, the role may act as either a commercial owner or a project partner, supporting sales teams and channel partners in complex deal execution.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Drive commercial programs and initiatives for Digital Pathology solutions, including Aperio Halo and IMS
Lead new business development and expand Digital Pathology adoption across key accounts
Own or co-own complex Digital Pathology opportunities, projects, or territories
Act as a solution architect, defining optimized workflows and system configurations tailored to customer needs
Engage directly with customers and partners on IT infrastructure, data integration, and AI-related requirements
Lead cross-functional Digital Pathology projects across Sales, Marketing, Applications, Service, IT, and third-party partners
Enable sales teams and channel partners by providing both commercial leadership and technical insight
Shape and structure deals to reduce risk, improve value proposition, and increase win probability
Drive pipeline growth, progression, and conversion for Digital Pathology opportunities
Support strategic account development and Digital Pathology transformation initiatives
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, IT or related field
Multiple years of experience in business development, solution sales, or complex project-based selling
Strong understanding of hospital IT environments, digital workflow, and/or medical imaging solutions
Experience working cross-functionally with commercial and technical teams
Familiarity with tender processes and complex procurement environments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce), Excel, PowerPoint
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
MBA or relevant advanced degree
Experience in Digital Pathology, Medical Imaging, or Healthcare IT solutions
Experience in solution architecture or consultative selling
Understanding of AI-based diagnostic workflows or data integration
- Fluent in Korean and English
- Ability to travel >30% within South Korea
