Area of Responsibilities:
As functional manager of the R&D software engineering team, his/her major responsibilities include:
Team buildup: recruit and retain software talents that are aligned with business strategy and meet project needs Develop core competence in software and firmware design & development, and testing by providing or coordinating training for the team. Play as technical leader and agile process owner, lead software team achieve project target through software lifecycle. Familiar with regulatory requirement and development process of IVD product. Drive innovation by leveraging internal and external resource and knowledge
Person Specification:
Skills / Competencies
- B.S. degree in Engineering with minimal 10 years work experience or M.S. with minimal 7 years experience
- Minimal 2-year management experience in a multinational company. Software team mgmt. experience is appreciated.
- Familiar with Medical device sotware life cycle processes, and design and development processes for medical devices.
- Hands-on experience and capability in Optic instrument system development including system design, system integration, testing, and manufacturing for new product development are preferred.
- Excellent English communication ability (verbal and written) and technical communication ability
- Excellent people skill and problem-solving skill.

- Requires in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines.

- Applies understanding of the business and how own area integrates with others to achieve departmental objectives.

- Manages one or more generally homogeneous teams; adapts departmental plans and priorities to meet short-term service and/or operational challenges.

- Identifies and solves technical and operational problems; understands and recognizes broader impact across the department

- Guided by policies and departmental plan, impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above. Mechanical engineering or equivalent education.
Experience
- 8+ years above experience of mechanical design including plastic, sheet metal, machining, die casting and so on;
- Working experience in Medical Device is preferred;
- Has successfully led a project or led a technical team during project development;
- 2+ years of coaching experience and coach a person who delivered good results;
- Global collaboration experience
Language
- Native Chinese & Good English.
