The Raw Material Planning & Purchasing Analyst is responsible for owning array of analytical processes (PFEP, Forecasts, excess analysis, availability projections, IMAG, project buying) and translating those insights into actions to improve OTD and Inventory.

This position reports to the Procurement & Inventory Manager and is part of the Supply Chain department located in Duncan, SC and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for many raw material related analyses to accurately measure current state and identify actions to get to ideal inventory levels for entire supply base
  • Manage several critical suppliers by effectively communicating and working with them to improve delivery and lead time performance. Responsible for order management with those suppliers.
  • Utilize SAP purchasing and MRP modules to timely and effectively manage Purchase Orders
  • Work with the production planning team to identify critical components to achieve the site's OTD and Lead Time targets, and work with the receiving and operations teams to solve material-related issues.
  • Be the designated project buyer for the site, work with cross-functional teams and perform analyses to determine what materials are needed, and manage corresponding POs

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in supply chain, business, engineering, or another related field and a minimum of four years of experience in a production/material planning role in a manufacturing environment
  • A minimum of 4+ years’ experience in planning or procurement roles utilizing SAP MRP/ERP systems. Highly proficient with data management and data analysis within Excel. This role requires a high level of analytical problem solving. Required to have deep knowledge of Excel Formulas, Pivot Tables, visualizing data, etc.
  • Comfortable managing your own workload and priorities and being a leader. Also able to create new processes and standards as business changes
  • Demonstrate experience in vendor relationship management and improvement; possess basic financial accounting knowledge that can be applied to inventory analyses
  • Adaptive to changing needs and processes, able to develop ways to measure and manage dynamic issues using data and problem-solving methods, such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Display effective communication skills, effective at presenting ideas and actions to leadership within organization or with suppliers. Able to get buy-in for proposals or actions.
