The Logistics & Inventory Specialist, Healthcare (SAP) is responsible for managing and optimizing end-to-end logistics, inventory control, and order fulfillment activities to support Cepheid’s healthcare operations in South Africa. This role ensures timely product availability, accurate inventory records, efficient warehouse and distribution processes, and full coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

The position requires strong experience in SAP, inventory management, supply chain operations, and healthcare or medical devices environments, with a clear focus on compliance, service quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily logistics and inventory activities to ensure product availability and uninterrupted customer support.

• Monitor stock levels, replenishment planning, and inventory accuracy within SAP.

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, distribution, and order fulfillment processes.

• Ensure accurate system transactions, stock movements, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.

• Work closely with customer service, commercial teams, finance, warehouse providers, and third-party logistics partners.

• Support importation, customs, delivery planning, and local distribution requirements where applicable.

• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, and operational challenges in a timely manner.

• Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and healthcare industry requirements.

• Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and inventory analysis to support business decisions.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics, warehouse, and inventory processes using operational excellence principles.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

• Proven experience in logistics, inventory, or supply chain operations, ideally within healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices, or life sciences.

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP for inventory, order processing, and stock control.

• Good understanding of warehouse operations, stock management, and distribution processes.

• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Good communication skills and stakeholder management capability.

• Knowledge of compliance and quality requirements in the healthcare sector is an advantage.
