The EHS Lead is responsible for environmental, health, safety and sustainability programs at the site as a subject matter expert.
Location: This position reports to the Manufacturing Plant Director and is part of the EHS Team located in SongDo, Incheon and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
- Be responsible to assess the EHS regulatory requirements for the setup and operations of the site to make sure the site is compliantly operate; This would require to lead the application and obtaining of EHS licenses and regulatory approvals
- Setup and implement the EHS Policy for the site meeting the requirements of Cytiva EHS, sustainability programs, and country regulation
- Own, setup, and manage the EHS regulatory compliance programs and activities aligning site's KPI (Manufacturing + FastTrak).
- Set up, improve, sustain workplace safety program with diligent risk assessment and work environment measurement
- Be responsible and lead EHS part of Daily Management for manufacturing facility - such as PTW (permit to work) , incident management, concern reports publish.
- Develop, facilitate, and provide EHS trainings and other daily activities including associate health program with an external stakeholder
- Promote EHS culture and knowledge sharing and implementation of operational best practices.
- Be part of Country BCP team of Korea and act as member representing EHS perspective.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical degree, EHS specialization is preferred.
- Minimum 8 years experience with Korea EHS regulation in the industry.
- Official Permit work & approval request experience against relevant authority
- Problem solving mindset and ability to juggle multiple deadlines & projects.
- Hands-on and pragmatic, with strong verbal and written communication skills and facilitation experience
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Language/Environment Requirements:
- Fluent level of English & Korean in written and verbal communications
- Ability to travel abroad upon business needs
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record within territory or locations
- If foreign national, legal work permit is required to pursue employment contract by Korean immigration law
- Ability to lift, move or carry PPE materials
- Candidates who have undergone a pre-assignment health examination and have been confirmed to be suitable for the job performance based on the health examination results
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Safety management experience at factory construction site
- Official Permit preparation and approval work against relevant authority
