The Test Specialist I (1-Year Contract) is responsible for testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and validating mass spectrometer instruments to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
This position reports to the Team Lead, Final test and is part of Manufacturing Operations – Triple Quad MS located in Marsiling and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Testing, Calibration & Commissioning
Responsible for commissioning, calibrating, testing, optimizing, troubleshooting, and validating mass spectrometer instruments according to work instructions, ensuring cycle time targets are met, performing audits for other specialists, supporting engineering evaluations, and working on final test improvement projects.
2. Quality Control, Documentation & Corrective Actions
Record all test data, enter faults into the Fault Database, generate NCMRs, perform corrective and preventive actions, carry out RMA rework/refurbishment, ensure proper tool management, daily torque verification, daily 5S, monitor equipment performance (oil level, pumps, ESD, chemicals), and follow all EHS and safety requirements.
3. Support Functions & Operational Responsibilities
Support FRUs, Turbo V, and customer rod set requirements and stocking; provide assistance to assembly whenever needed; report abnormalities to the Final Test Lead; collaborate with engineering/FAE; be willing to work mid‑shift; and perform other assigned duties or ad‑hoc tasks.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Diploma in Engineering or Science (preferably Physics).
- Experience with electronics hardware, troubleshooting, and use of test equipment/hand tools, with working experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong team skills, good communication skills, and high attention to detail; fresh graduates may also apply, as training will be provided.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Laboratory experience operating analytical chemistry equipment (organic or inorganic).
- Experience working with precision instruments or related technical laboratory tools (an advantage but not required).
