The Product Manager – LifeCycle Management (m/f/d) shapes, prioritizes, and drives the Workflow and IT Solutions (WITS) Automation Continuous Improvement (CI) program scope and owns the long-term roadmap across hardware, software, and complex elements.

This position reports to the Director Program and Product Management – Continuous Improvement and is part of the Portfolio Organization located in Munich, Germany and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Own and drive the WITS Automation CI program scope, roadmap, and backlog, balancing sustainment and continuous delivery across hardware, software, and cross‑functional initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the overall WITS portfolio and strategic priorities.

  • Provide leadership within the Automation CI program, representing the customer and lifecycle perspective, enabling effective prioritization, decision‑making, and escalation across Program Management and Technical Leadership.

  • Act as Product Management representative for Automation CI, ensuring clear scope definition, customer value articulation, product stewardship, and effective governance across CoreTeams, PLM, and BU forums.

  • Serve as the central cross‑functional integrator, aligning Product Management, R&D, Quality/Regulatory, Service, Operations, and other BUs to deliver feasible, well‑scoped CI initiatives aligned with product strategy and customer insights.

  • Drive process, governance, and efficiency improvements by enhancing CI decision workflows, standard work, transparency, and communication of roadmap progress and cross‑functional impacts.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Lifecycle Management, Sustaining Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or related roles – preferably in regulated industries such as MedTech, IVD, or healthcare technology.

  • Proven experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and prioritization frameworks, ideally covering both hardware and software product elements.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer feedback, field insights, reliability data, and regulatory obligations into structured lifecycle priorities and clear product requirements.

  • Strong ability to work across cross‑functional teams including R&D, Quality/Regulatory, Service, Operations; experience in matrixed environments is essential.

  • Proven capability to influence and align stakeholders at multiple levels, with strong skills in communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

  • Experience with sustaining programs or lifecycle governance structures, including familiarity with structured prioritization, change evaluation, and portfolio balancing.

  • Comfort working with data-driven decision-making, including evaluation of value, effort, risk, customer impact, and cost/benefit quantification.

  • Familiarity with the Danaher Business System (DBS) or similar structured problem‑solving and program management methodologies.

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); German is a plus.
