The Cybersecurity Architect II will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, contribute to real security projects, and learn how to apply cybersecurity best practices in product development environments. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who wants to grow in the exciting and high-impact field of product cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity Architect II, is responsible for actively contributing to technical security solutions, including implementing and sustaining cybersecurity controls throughout the product development lifecycle. This individual will work cross-functionally to ensure the secure development of products while implementing and optimizing security controls.

This position will support Beckman Coulter R&D teams in integrating security into all platforms and frameworks to allow consistent, traceable management of cybersecurity controls across applications and infrastructure across development environments. The position requires a candidate with strong Cybersecurity (CS), technical, and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the business, pre-market & post-market CS, peer Engineering teams, and across business units; to deliver high quality solutions that ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and data/system security.

This position is part of the Global Product Security Group and will be on-site at our Bengaluru – India facility. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will report to the Sr. Manager Product Cybersecurity Architect within Global Product Security (GPS). If you are passionate about building security into products from day one, and you thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven technology environment, read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in identifying and tracking potential security risks throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Help perform threat modeling and security reviews for new product features.

  • Support vulnerability management efforts by learning how to triage, prioritize, and follow up on findings.

  • Participate in secure code reviews, CI/CD pipeline security checks, and dependency scanning.

  • Help generate and manage Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs) and understand their role in supply chain security.

  • Assist with the Government Authority to Operate (ATO) process, including preparation of security documentation, coordination with stakeholders, and support during security assessments and authorization activities.

  • Support implementation and validation of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) by conducting system hardening, security configuration reviews, and compliance checks to ensure alignment with Department of Defense security requirements.

  • Automate Cybersecurity documents to speed up the release process.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2-3 years of experience in Cybersecurity activities related to Threat Model, Risk Assessment, Vulnerability assessment.

  • Understanding software development lifecycle (SDLC) and interest in cybersecurity fundamentals.

  • Familiarity with common security concepts like authentication, encryption, OWASP Top 10, and secure coding practices.

  • Strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and willingness to ask questions.

  • Basic scripting knowledge and exposure to AI tools.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with medical devices, regulated technologies, or safety-critical systems.

  • Training towards certifications from ISC2, EC Council, CSA or equivalent.

  • Experience working within Agile or DevSecOps development environments.

  • Experience with Python, AI tools
