The Aladdin Channels and Experience team’s mission is to create best-in-class experiences for our clients by enabling seamless workflows across channels.

The C&E team includes Product, Development, design UX and research. We are integrated in key strategic initiatives across APG. Our experts are embedded into different teams, to accelerate, build and scale web, desktop, and mobile platforms to serve our clients across all channels.

C&E Mobile

For C&E mobile, our vision is to Bring Aladdin to Mobile. In 2023, we are focusing on the Aladdin Portfolio mobile app, our mobile platform SDK and design system,

As well as the maintenance and support of our existing live mobile apps (we support 4 apps: Institutional, Deal Flow, Cache Matrix, and Events) with technology and design infrastructure.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to drive the Portfolio Mobile product road map and user experience surrounding Aladdin Mobile.

You will work as part of a dynamic and vertically integrated team that is based in NY, London, Atlanta       and Budapest. Additionally, the structure of the business internally means you will need to operate in a matrixed fashion with multiple stakeholders who are focused on diverse clients and users from technically curious reporting analysts, to citizen developers and professional engineers. As you develop the product road map (and begin to execute against it), you will need to skillfully solve for this complexity of users and stakeholders. Being able to bring people on the journey with you is of paramount importance, as is forging close partnerships with adjacent client marketing and business teams for consistency and leverage

Our ideal candidate is someone who embraces a customer-first mindset, communicates flawlessly and operates confidently at the intersection of design and technology. In other words, we are looking for someone who is as comfortable influencing leaders on our direction of travel as you are operating at ground level with the working team.

Primary responsibilities

  • Act as the “go-to” product leader for the Aladdin Mobile app experience, inclusive of road map, delivery and results. We are looking for a strong coach who can work with a virtual team of product managers, designers and engineers translate product strategy into detailed backlogs and prototypes
  • Translating our platform strategy, commercial priorities, and our clients’ needs into front-end product priorities and features.
  • Manage stakeholders effectively – you need to communicate product developments in a way that partners understand what we’re doing and why. You’ll be expected to partner with other product managers to ensure these are in sync with priorities and you’ll need to harmonize all plans with our content and marketing leads who are driving content and client-facing positioning. 
  • Collaborate with Design Leads to optimize how we use data and UX research to define and solve user problems. Part of this also includes monitoring external trends and being able to communicate these in a simple, compelling way.
  • Partner with Engineering Leads to ensure sprints are managed within our release cycle and testing protocols.
  • Develop the business case and rationale for new features and innovations
  • Develop an executive-friendly metrics dashboard, tracking measures of success and communicating this data in a consumable way
  • Keep leadership informed of the team’s progress and provide a realistic picture of what is achievable with the resources at hand
  • Work with marketing, PR, and other stakeholders on promotional plans to ensure that strategies are integrated
  • Represent the firm and the product by visiting clients to solicit feedback, and be flexible to travel globally approx. 10% as needed.

Essential skills / experience

  • You must have the digital product ‘gene’ in your DNA and have at least 6-8 years’ experience leading the development of great digital propositions, including mobile technologies, managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Experience using AHA! ADO,sytems, integrations and product management tools.
  • Strong people leadership with experience directly leading teams  and ability to inspire colleagues across the domains of product, design and engineering.
  • Deep functional understanding of design thinking, web/mobile development practices, and knowledge of APIs
  • Experience and understanding of both waterfall and Agile project management disciplines, with an emphasis on Scrum and LeanUX
  • Flawless written and verbal communication and ability to gain buy-in on plans from a non-technical audience at varying degrees of seniority.
  • Positive attitude and resilience, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
