About this role

Scope of Role:

Responsible for managing a robust compensation structure, policies and processes to ensure it is competitive in attracting and retaining talent and meeting the changing needs of our business.Deliver the total rewards strategy by designing rewards policy / programs and delivers locally relevant solutions to ensure that the functions can deliver their strategy through best and most engaged workforce.

The role partners with the India HR Business Partner team, the functional HR Leads and the Rewards team to develop and deliver a relevant total reward solution. This role reports to APAC Head of Total Rewards.

Key Responsbilities:

  • Act as a Compensation Partner and provide guidance and solution to the HR Business Partner and functional managers for managing the functional needs in line their talent strategy. Be the market expert on Compensation trends and embed them into the India compensation approach

    • Experienced Hire recruiting – Provide advisory and approval for the new hire offers including the new / unique profile being hired in India.

    • Campus Strategy – Campus comp, positioning, trends.

  • Rewards Philosophy- Create and strengthen Compensation awareness by conducting Compensation education sessions for the Leadership, Managers and HR.

  • Compensation Processes & Compliance – Manage and ensure compliance with corporate governance, compensation & benefit related laws. Handle the site and global audits pertaining to Compensation areas.

  • Compensation Analytics- Establish standards for Compensation Analytics to provide insights for functions and leadership teams to help in decision making. Analyze critical role/positions’ internal and external equity to take corrective actions as needed.

  • Manage compensation surveys: job matching, data submission and independent analysis of benchmarking data to support compensation strategy and ensuring alignment with key organizational goals.

  • Year End Comp Cycle – Manage and lead the Year End Compensation cycle, taking into consideration the Functional proposals, own and create India salary & bonus model, competitive analysis and internal pay equity.

  • Policy – Work with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations, Compliance and other relevant stakeholders to create, review, update policies. Responsible for HR policies communication to reach intended group of audience. Work on the policy harmonization across organization.

  • The role holder may be required to participate in APAC or Global initiatives.

  • Benefits – Review, design, implement and communicate benefit programs through robust analysis of market data and workforce demographic trend; participate in relevant market surveys.

  • Vendor Management – Responsible for managing an effective relationship with HR vendors.

  • Collaborate with Finance on all aspects of compensation planning, measurement and reporting including forecasting.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in some of the following areas: compensation process and compliance, alignment of rewards philosophy, running annual compensation cycle, and vendor management

  • Previous experience working within a global matrix structure

  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to partner effectively with business leaders and within HR function

  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines within a fast paced, high pressure environment

  • Experience with benefits design and implementation is an added advantage.

  • Originates ideas and takes initiative to scope, design and customize solutions

  • Strong resilience and agility

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to navigate through ambiguity; flexible and adaptable to change

  • Analytical thinking, proficient in working with data and drawing insights

  • Process orientation and attention to detail
