Business Unit Overview:
TheNetherlands is strategically important for BlackRock in EMEA, with large client relationships across Institutional and Wealth. The Dutch team of around 80 staff is working with a sophisticated client base acrossPension funds, Insurance companies, Banks, Wealth Managers and Distribution platforms. The Netherlandsorganisation also is the home of BlackRock Netherlands B.V., which is one of BlackRock’s key legal entities for Europe after Brexit.
The Netherlands COO team is responsible for business management, strategy and analytics for the Dutch client businesses as well as the proper oversight on BNBV’s activities for the Board of Directors. The team engages with the leaders of each client business to drive key initiatives and work closely with internal stakeholders, including Investments, Corporate Strategy, Finance, Marketing, and Sales to ensure consistent messaging and clear coordination of critical projects internally. Furthermore, the Dutch COO team is responsible for the operation and administration of the Netherlands, and for monitoring performance results, allocation of resources and implementing metrics-driven sales execution to manage our business.
Position Overview:
The role of the Administrative Professional – Office Manager is to provide both administrative support to members of the Dutch team based in Amsterdam including the country manager as well as fulfil office management tasks. The essence of the Administrative Professional role is to ensure the smooth running of designated members of the team and of the Amsterdam office. The Administrative Professional – Office manageris one of the ‘constant factors’ at the office.
The total team of administrative professionals consists of three people. Together this team is responsible for all administrative and office management tasks in The Netherlands. This is a fixed term opportunity.
Key responsibilities:
Support:
Provide high-level administrative support to the Country Manager.
Coordinate and execute travel arrangements and process expenses.
Scheduling of meetings with internal and external stakeholders and calendar management.
Preparing agendas, materials and notes for management and staff meetings
Ensure adequate support to various teams and Managing Directors
Backup function for Business Management in respect to administrative support and HR/Benefits

Ensure smooth office operations to achieve organizational effectiveness and efficiency in the field of;

Skills & Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills together with an intelligent approach to diary management and problem solving
Pro active team player with good listening skills
Calm and capable - able to juggle conflicting demands on time and respond to deadlines
Knowledge of Microsoft computer packages (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Perfect command of Dutch and English, verbal and in writing
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail and still maintaining speed in execution
Enjoys working in a global fast-paced, changing environment
Experience in the financial industry or consulting preferred, but not an absolute requirement.
