Business: Client Business
Within the Client Business group, we pride ourselves on creating, communicating and delivering investment solutions for clients worldwide. To that end, we have teams of professionals with expertise in the many functions that combined make this effort successful and sustainable, including relationship management, marketing, sales, client service, and product development and management.
The Client Business group serves institutional and retail clients, including pension plans, insurance companies, third-party mutual funds, endowments and foundations, charities, corporations, official institutions, banks, family offices, financial professionals and individual investors.
Professionals within the team work together to deliver a full range of asset management, risk management and advisory services relevant to clients’ investment needs. Unified under one global client platform, individual client businesses are accountable for client relationships and distribution of products and services and are supported by a centralized marketing function which ensures consistency globally.
Division: Japan Client Business
BlackRock’s Japan Business is ranked by Asia Asset Management as the leading institutional asset manager in the region. Our clients are public pensions, corporate pensions, banks, life insurers, official institutions, foundation and endowments.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Client Business (Relationship Management) Team, you will support and develop relationships with large existing institutional investors in Japan. This would include coordination of client meetings, preparation of materials and minutes, and response to detailed inquiries.
Work with BlackRock lead Relationship Manager (RM)s to understand the clients’ needs and proactively identify new business opportunities by leveraging BlackRock platform to deliver suitable ideas and solutions.
Collaborate effectively with broad team including portfolio managers, product specialists, operations, marketing, and compliance officers, etc. to deliver the firm and meet the clients’ high-standard expectation.
Handle projects around the development of our solutions business, including marketing and prospecting efforts, thought leadership, and events.
Develop asset class proficiency across BlackRock's product range – including fixed income, equity, ETFs, real assets, private equity, private credit and hedge funds.
Use BlackRock's proprietary systems to assemble security, capital market, and economic data to create a range of presentation materials.
Gather information and data to quickly respond orally and in writing to client requests.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
At least 3 years relevant financial services experience preferred.
Experience in contributing to quality client service.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Proven and detail oriented analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent teamwork mind-set, thoughtful communication skills, and commercial mindset
Passion to complete one’s tasks and challenges.
High quality and ability to complete multi-task.
Knowledge of financial markets and asset management instruments.
2nd Grade of Securities Broker Representative License.
Excellent PC skills: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AI tool.
Passion to learn and use internal portfolio analytical tools (Aladdin).
Acts with integrity and with the desire to do the right thing for clients.
Able to escalate effectively.
Demonstrate diligence and self-discipline.
