Position Overview

This role is a leadership position ETF Platform Innovation and Change (EPIC) is a team within BlackRock's Technology & Operations division. We develop strategy, execute initiatives, and have daily operational responsibilities that are central to firm-wide growth aspirations and priorities. Our team combines operations professionals with Mutual Fund/ETF backgrounds and change specialists to drive scale and innovation to support BlackRock’s ETFs globally. As the Global Head of ETF Servicing, you’ll be expected to lead the daily ETF operations across teams located in several locations, interact with internal and external parties, and develop strategy to optimize delivery and support our commercial agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a world class ETF Servicing team that supports our colleagues in Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Technology, Product Development and Operations while delivering an unparalleled experience for our Authorized Participant community and the broader ETF ecosystem

  • Ensure a culture where Risk Management is paramount and operational risk is effectively identified and managed across all dimensions of the model

  • Grow a global ETF Servicing footprint with a clear vision for employee development and success, clear roles and responsibilities, and a location strategy that enables product and stakeholder success

  • Continue to evolve a governance model and set of metrics to evaluate the efficiency and efficacy of the ETF Servicing function to identify opportunities to streamline, scale and improve

  • Drive a strategy around engagement with stakeholders to develop an appreciation for each party’s agenda and an actionable plan to support and influence as required to achieve a successful joint outcome

  • Contribute to the design of our ETF operating model relying on relevant experiences, industry trends and market opportunities to develop a road map and prioritization schedule

  • Take the lead on managing and evolving our relationships with our ETF post trade service providers to ensure high levels of service and readiness to understand and support our strategy

Skills and Experience:

  • A background that includes a combination of leadership roles across ETF operations, client service, fund accounting, custody/banking

  • Outstanding people leadership and culture-building skills, encouraging a high-energy, high-achievement culture balanced with respect and empathy

  • Ability to navigate the firm and influence colleagues. Effective team player who is accustomed to working with global, regional and local stakeholders

·Strong communication skills, especially the ability to summarize and synthesize to senior leadership

  • Strategic acumen linked to implementation/execution, with a proven ability to drive enterprise level outcomes across a variety of distinct constituencies

  • Demonstrated capability in problem solving and being intellectually curious. A voracious appetite for learning with strong critical thinking, quantitative and analytical skills

  • Preference for experience in business process and technology design as a product owner, sponsor, or key subject matter expert. Successful track record of contributing to high visibility project delivery

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$275,000.00 - USD$350,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

For Boston, MA Only the salary range for this position is USD$245,000.00 - USD$350,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$225,000.00 - USD$350,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
