Aladdin Client Engagement, Vice President
BlackRock
About this role
Associate, Technical Relationship Manager, Aladdin Client Engagement
BlackRock Solutions (BRS) builds and supports the technology and analytics that power BlackRock and many of the world’s leading institutional investors. At the center of this platform is Aladdin®, our enterprise investment management system used by portfolio managers, risk teams, operations, and executives supporting over 1,000 institutional investors globally.
The Aladdin Client Engagement team partners directly with clients to help them maximize the value of Aladdin. We operate as trusted advisors, bringing product expertise, market knowledge, and a deep understanding of each client’s investment and operational needs to drive adoption, solve problems, and unlock measurable business outcomes.
We are seeking an Associate to serve as a Technical Relationship Manager, bridging institutional client relationship management with practical knowledge of financial markets, investment processes, and the Aladdin ecosystem. This client‑facing role requires strong partnership skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to translate business problems into practical platform solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and deepen relationships with senior client stakeholders (e.g., CTO, CIO, COO, Heads of Desks), developing a strong understanding of their objectives and how Aladdin can help achieve them.
- Translate client business challenges into actionable solutions, leveraging Aladdin functionality and analytics to drive adoption and measurable value.
- Lead strategic and tactical initiatives with clients, coordinating cross-functional internal teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. This is a hands-on engagement role—not pure project management—and includes participating directly in solution design, testing, and rollout.
- Ensure client feedback on product is communicated to the Product Managers and is tracked through successful development and deployment.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Financial Modeling teams to support client development needs and ensure solutions align with Aladdin’s architecture and roadmap.
- Guide clients across the full investment and portfolio lifecycle, helping them fully leverage Aladdin’s capabilities across trading, risk, operations, and reporting workflows.
- Stay current on regulatory, market, and operational trends to proactively advise clients and anticipate impacts to their investment process.
- Serve as a workflow subject matter expert, building depth in multiple Aladdin product areas and using this expertise to support broader client and internal conversations.
- Help Client Engagement leads with harvesting and onboarding additional client business by coordinating across product and sales teams
- Educate clients on Aladdin’s regulatory and reporting capabilities, helping them adopt and operationalize key workflows.
- Lead internal stakeholder discussions to align on client priorities and guide product development using clear insights on client needs.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, consulting, technology, or a related field; or advanced graduate level degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative or business discipline.
- The role demands technical proficiency and a robust comprehension of our Aladdin technology applications.
- Strong interest in FinTech and the Financial Institutions (Banks and Insurance companies) and/or Asset Management.
- Familiarity with buy-side investment management or middle-office workflows is preferred
- Working understanding of equity, fixed income and derivative markets and their operational workflows. Knowledge of alternative investments and their lifecycle is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and engage with both business and technical audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and execution skills, with experience driving cross functional initiatives or delivering complex solutions
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with SQL, UNIX, Python, VBA, C++, PERL, or BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI); exposure to Aladdin is a plus.
- CFA, FRM, CIMA, or CAIA certification
