About this role

This role is with the Core Web Platform Team within the Web Tech Engineering Platform Infrastructure Team. This team is responsible for delivering BlackRock's online presence, including websites and investor tools, and driving the overall digital user experience for the company.

Our team is looking for a Delivery Manager who will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to oversee the Release process for the Web Platform. The Delivery Manager will be responsible for ensuring all releases meet the highest possible quality standards and follow established procedures. The Delivery Manager will own the maintenance and improvement of the Platform Release process.

Duties:

• Responsible for successful delivery of Platform releases, including both Platform and partner elements.

• Oversee the creation and quality of release documentation including Release Packets, release plans, development and testing tickets and cross-team communication.

• Ensure releases follow established processes for risk mitigation and change management, including enforcement of these standards.

• Ensure testing best practices are followed and all releases meet minimum testing expectations.

• Act as the central coordination point for all release planning and communications

• Escalate issues and risks as needed to maintain the quality of our releases.

• Continue the evolution and improvement of the software release process for all platform teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Run the weekly Release Planning meeting

• Review and approve change requests

• Review testing and approval documents

• Identify and escalate release risks, as needed

• Generate periodic metrics and summary reports

Required skills:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience

• MS Office, with strong skills in Word and Excel / SmartSheet.

• Deep understanding of and experience with project and release management processes, including Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Outstanding people management skills

• Familiarity with MS Project or similar project management software

We value if you have:

• Experience with high visibility, mission-critical public facing web ecosystems.

• Full lifecycle Project Management experience with enterprise-level deliverables

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a CS, Management on Engineering field preferred.
