Role and Impact:
A member of the marketing team for Canada and Latin America marketing, the Email marketing specialist maintains primary oversight and leadership of email marketing for the regions. This person is responsible for developing and executing email campaign strategies to drive engagement and growth of our marketing database. This includes working with digital, content, business partners, platform managers, operations and others to develop email marketing campaigns and scalable strategies that deepen client experience. Digital expertise, speed-to-market, strong communication skills, efficient project management and demonstrated experience in testing are required. The Email marketing specialist will play a primary role in building a strong regional platform and defining best practices for the team to build on top of the evolving landscape. This position reports to the Digital & Commercial activations lead for Canada and Latin America marketing.
Responsibilities:
Email campaign management: Develop, implement & scale email marketing strategies aligned with business goals and target audience that drives engagement
Audience segmentation & data management: Manage mailcodes, email segments and target lists based on client type and their preferences
Marketing Automation: Design and manage automated email workflows like welcome campaigns, nurture tracks, drip campaigns, re-engagement campaigns, acquisition funnel etc.
Measurement & reporting: Monitor, analyze and report on email performance metrics that align with business objectives regularly
Testing, optimization & personalization: Conduct A/B tests and personalization tactics to improve campaign effectiveness. Use data to inform future marketing strategies.
Center of Excellence (CoE): Be the CoE for the region and establish best practices for local marketing and sales teams. Act as a consultant and guide partners on email strategies, insights and share recommendations.
Drive operational excellence: Create and maintain detailed documentation of email marketing processes, segmentation criteria and testing protocols. Develop SOPs for recurring tasks.
Cross functional collaboration: Close collaboration with email marketing operations team, Eloqua platform owners and data team to identify ways to stay updated with email trends and platform updates to further improve email marketing for the region, streamline data flow and operations.
Core Skills:
Pro-active, self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects across multiple stakeholders simultaneously in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated through excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
4+ years of experience in email marketing or related role
Proficiency in marketing automation platforms such as Eloqua, Eloqua Engage, and Stensul
Strong knowledge of email best practices, segmentation strategies & database management
Experience with HTML, CRM platforms or data visualization tools (like Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus
