About this role
Role Purpose
Ensure compliance with Serbian occupational health and safety regulations while taking full responsibility for fire safety and emergency preparedness. This role will manage the Belgrade Fire Plan and support global initiatives for emergency action planning, placement of emergency supplies, and creation of emergency maps and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the Belgrade Fire Plan in accordance with Serbian regulations and ensure readiness for fire and emergency scenarios.
Conduct and update Risk Assessment Act every 2 years after major changes.
Deliver employee safety training and onboarding sessions.
Coordinate fire drills, evacuation exercises, fire warden training, assembly point management and equipment readiness in partnership with Facilities Manager.
Document and report all fire safety activities, corrective actions, and inspection outcomes.
Perform physical hazard inspections and maintain compliance logs.
Support audits and regulatory inspections
Assist global team with emergency action plans, placement of emergency supplies, and creation of emergency maps and tools.
Coordinate installation, tracking, and replenishment of emergency supplies, including first aid kits, emergency kits, and AEDs
Support compliance with the Law on Safety and Health at Work and all local HSE regulations.
Monitor and report unsafe conditions, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to verify closure.
Promote a proactive safety culture and serve as a trusted resource for employee support.
Required Qualifications
Higher education degree (minimum 180 ECTS) in Disaster and Fire Safety Engineering, technical-technological, natural-mathematical, medical, or social-humanistic sciences.
Fire Protection Design License (Ministry of Interior)
Understanding of Serbian workplace safety and fire safety regulations
Experience with emergency preparedness, fire safety procedures, and safety compliance in an office environment.
Ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, authorities, and external vendors.
Proficiency in Serbian and English.
Preferred Qualifications
Occupational Safety Professional License (Ministry of Labor) for risk assessment and safety.
NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety
IOSH Managing Safely
First Aid & CPR Certification
Practical experience working with fire safety systems, evacuation planning
Certification in occupational safety
