About this role

Business Unit Overview:

The Cash Management Group manages a suite of products that includes Prime and Government Money Market and Ultra-Short Duration Mutual funds and Separate Accounts. BlackRock’s cash management style is designed to meet each client’s objectives of capital preservation, liquidity and yield – in that order. This philosophy is built on a risk-controlled framework, featuring careful analysis of credit, interest rate trends, and relative value opportunities which ultimately produce investment returns on a risk adjusted basis. Our disciplined approach to investing originated in 1973 when we pioneered the first constant-dollar money market fund dedicated to institutional investors.

The Cachematrix Technical Product Strategy team is part of the Global Cash Management team. The team works directly with the Cachematrix Liquidity Management platform, which is a single instance, multi-tenant software as a service (SaaS) based product. It powers custom trading solutions for many of the world’s leading and most innovative financial institutions, including regional and global banks and asset management firms. The platform can be integrated into any core cash management system as a seamless, single sign-on module or operate as a stand-alone system.

Job Purpose/Background/Responsibilities:

The Cachematrix team is seeking a Junior Technical Product Strategist with Citizen Developer capabilities, to support the global product function, with a diverse set of responsibilities encompassing business analysis, testing and product ownership.

About this role

This role works as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, validate, and operationalize requirements for new features, process changes, and data integrations. In addition to traditional BA responsibilities, the ideal candidate contributes as a Citizen Developer, using approved enterprise tools to automate workflows, streamline reporting, and reduce manual effort — while operating within firmwide governance and risk standards.

The role requires strong communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Analysis and Solution Definition

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for platform enhancements, integrations, and process changes.

  • Translate business needs into clear functional designs, including functional requirements, business processes/workflows, data flows, and automation logic.

  • Develop and execute test strategies, including UAT, validation of automations, and regression testing.

Technical Recommendation and Testing

  • Collaborate to deliver low-code / no-code solutions (e.g. workflow automations, data handling, reporting enablement) using approved enterprise platforms.

  • Understand tables, schemas, and data relationships.

  • Identify, document, report and track defects and issues.

  • Manage issue reporting and triage, providing timely escalation as needed.

Project Execution and Support

  • Provide business and platform support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Oversee vendor data quality and integrity, verifying accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation.

  • Support client onboardings by setting up and managing data extracts and integrations.

  • Build, document, and maintain ad-hoc and automated reports, to support business needs.

Communication

  • Actively reduce key-person risks through knowledge sharing and clear handoffs.

  • Deliver demos, training, and walkthroughs for stakeholders, documenting operating models and support processes.

  • Manage stakeholder communication across business, product, and development teams.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or UAT Tester.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with Agile & Scrum methodologies.

  • Industry knowledge of financial services and processes.

  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Visio, Aha or similar tools.

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.

  • Experience in building data visualization and business intelligence using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms is preferred.

  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python.
