About this role
Within the Aladdin Product Group – Alternatives, we are hiring a Software Engineer (Full Stack) to work on Invest Central, a core platform within the Insight ecosystem. This role is based in Belgrade and operates as part of a globally distributed engineering organisation.
Invest Central is at the heart of the Private Markets data platform, designed to streamline and automate complex data processing, validation, and workflow orchestration across the Private Market lifecycle. It acts as a centralised system of record and processing layer, integrating with our analytical platform and downstream consumers to improve data availability, reduce manual intervention, and scale operational throughput.
This role is a hands-on individual contributor function, focused on building and operating software in a complex, data-driven production environment. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute meaningfully to the team's delivery.
About you
You are a software engineer with solid professional experience, comfortable contributing to large, long-lived systems where correctness and operational stability matter. You are building your ability to navigate complex codebases and are eager to deepen your understanding of how data flows through systems and how design decisions affect downstream consumers.
You work collaboratively within your team, take ownership of the quality of your own work, and are keen to grow through peer feedback, code reviews, and hands-on exposure to business-critical workflows.
Technologies you will work with (hands-on):
C#, VB.NET
Visual Studio, VS Code
.NET Framework 4.x and .NET (.NET Core)
Microsoft SQL Server
TypeScript / JavaScript / HTML / CSS
Cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure)
Azure DevOps pipelines and release tooling
Agile / Scrum ways of working
What you will be doing
Implementing features within Invest Central, focusing on data processing, validation workflows, and integration with the Insight ecosystem
Participating in the full software lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
Contributing to data models and workflows supporting fund operations, transactions, onboarding, and downstream data distribution
Writing clear, maintainable code and contributing to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Investigating and diagnosing issues in existing systems under the guidance of senior engineers
Actively participating in code reviews and technical discussions
Collaborating with engineers, architects, product partners, and QA across locations
What you bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
3–6 years of professional experience building and supporting production software systems
Ability to navigate and understand existing codebases with guidance from senior peers
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in data-centric and workflow-driven systems
Exposure to or interest in systems where data quality, auditability, and operational reliability are critical
Professional fluency in English, written and spoken
