The GIP Credit Team has 60+ investment professionals that have deployed ~$19Bn of Investment-Grade capital and ~$10Bn of Non-Investment Grade capital in debt, preferred, and structured equity formats.
Job Purpose/Background:
The GIP Credit Team has an opportunity for a qualified and experienced candidate to join the investment team in New York. The role will have responsibility for project and financial modelling, deal assessment and execution, development and review of investment committee materials, and portfolio monitoring for both investment grade and non-investment grade transactions. The role will also assist in preparing presentations and pitch books, cash flow analysis, researching and report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial modelling: running and developing bespoke financial models in order to analyze investment opportunities
- Deal assessment and execution: working with the team to assess and execute project investments. This will include conducting due diligence, financial review, and preparation of investment committee materials.
- Market research: including research on potential investments, policy, competitors, technology etc.
- Portfolio monitoring: assist in the monitoring of investments in the portfolio
Qualifications:
GIP seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The ideal candidate is someone who wishes to expand their knowledge of infrastructure credit and develop their career in a team-driven environment.
The successful candidate must have:
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience (e.g. Project Finance, Leverage Finance, M&A, or Restructuring)
- Bachelor’s degree required with a strong academic record – Major in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or engineering a plus
- Strong financial modelling skills, particularly focused on cash flow and capital structure analysis
- Experience of undertaking infrastructure due diligence processes and reviewing finance and/or project legal documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Quick learner who is highly organized, has exceptional project management skills and is able to manage multiple workstreams effectively and deliver quality work on schedule
- Enthusiasm and commitment to working in a friendly, entrepreneurial, team environment
- A keen interest in the infrastructure and debt markets
- Fluency in English - Spanish proficiency a plus

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$135,000.00 - USD$180,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
