Job Purpose/Background:
BlackRock is currently seeking a senior institutional and family office relationship manager based in Dubai, to take on responsibilities for the existing institutional clients in the UAE, as well as develop and manage new institutional relationships in those countries. The RM will be the central point of contact for institutional clients, which includes the following client groups: sovereign wealth funds and pension funds. The RM will be responsible for delivering the broad BlackRock offering including index equities, active equities, fixed income, private capital, real estate, infrastructure, and alternative assets. In doing so, he or she will lead the client dialogue with respect to BlackRock’s investment offerings, whole portfolio solutions capabilities, co-investment opportunities and product development, helping to drive business and client strategy more broadly across the countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationships:
All aspects of sales coverage, including maintaining and further developing relationships
Facilitate strategic dialogue by understanding the client’s needs and helping our clients and prospects understand industry trends and geopolitical developments
Host client meetings with senior leaders of the firm
Visit senior representatives of UAE prospects and clients
Contribute to account planning on Strategic clients, follow-up on commercial growth and budgeting, directly own some senior client relationship
UAE Team responsibilities:
Lead by example incorporating the BlackRock Principles and the firm DEI approach
Work with colleagues to nurture junior talent and mentor the leaders of tomorrow
Empower team members to achieve their goals and those of the firm
Country strategy:
Support Middle East senior management in refining and developing the vision for BlackRock's UAE business, and ensure an integrated client experience across products and solutions;
Drives continuous growth of the business in line with strategic priorities.
Work closely with the regional COO to ensure sound operational set-up
Contributing to the firm's regional & global business strategy, with the overarching agenda of growing both the overall business as well as UAE position within it
Drive the ongoing development and refinement of BlackRock’s product offering, market activities, and sales and marketing strategy; this includes the continued development of a strong client portfolio and a diversified book of business across multiple sub-segments
Work with all distribution channels to help build plans to exceed NNBF and NNB targets
Knowledge/Experience:
English and Arabic speaker with existing senior level relationships with Institutional Clients in the UAE
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong academic qualifications
A deep understanding of capital markets, gained in asset and/or wealth management, investment banking, the insurance sector, and/or related segments of the financial services industry;
Ability and willingness to demonstrate strong sense of ownership towards delivering to clients

This will be an ambitious, results-driven individual, prepared to roll up his/her sleeves and operate very actively in the firm;
The successful candidate will have a track record of working closely with senior contacts at clients, be it in an advisory or a business development capacity and have experienced the investment business throughout different cycles. He or she will understand the structures, decision-making and thought processes of different clients and therefore advise not only on existing products but also on structuring client-specific solutions; and
He or she will be a pro-active self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise.
Communication and Influencing Skills:
The ability to articulate complex investment processes to a diverse client audience is critical; and
He or she will be a good listener with strong communication skills, applied internally and externally to information gathering, influencing and negotiating

Our hybrid work model
