The Associate/Vice President will join Blackstone Real Estate’s Institutional Client Coverage team in Tokyo. This team is responsible for raising capital for Blackstone Real Estate’s fund strategies. In this role, the individual will be involved in supporting fundraising efforts and relationships with limited partners in Asia, with particular emphasis on supporting our limited partners in Japan.

The main areas of responsibility for the role include:

  • Support Capital Raising: Support Client Coverage professional efforts to accurately communicate Blackstone Real Estate’s various fund offerings to institutional capital providers
  • Investor Requests: Coordinate responses to Limited Partner information requests and respond in a timely manner
  • Closing Process: Assist Limited Partners through their due diligence, legal and commitment closing process
  • Business Building: Assist Client Coverage professionals to identify and proactively seek to expand the number of Limited Partner relationships
  • Co-investment: Syndicate co-investment opportunities with Limited Partners within various Blackstone Funds
  • Cultural Fit: Contribute to a positive team culture and interact seamlessly with other internal teams

This professional will have active involvement with the senior leaders of one of the largest real estate managers in the world and will support a highly productive fundraising team.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have:

  • Four+ years of professional experience
  • Prior work experience in real estate and/or investor relations is preferred
  • Superior communication skills in English and Japanese including demonstrated ability to write and communicate effectively in English and Japanese
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly motivated (a self-starter), intelligent and demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors
  • Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Candidate should be energetic and a team-oriented individual who thrives on challenge in dynamic environment
  • Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to learn
  • Operate with the highest degree of integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity
