Job Title: BXMA, Investment Associate
Job Description:
This role offers the opportunity to work with an experienced team to develop and manage customized client portfolios. The open architecture approach combines external fund investments, private market strategies, direct investing and the Blackstone ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include:
Working with the investment team to source, diligence and underwrite prospective investments across asset classes. This will include, but not be limited to, industry/strategy research, fund evaluation, financial modeling, meetings with managers, risk analysis and formulation of investment theses
Monitoring existing positions, themes, and exposures in the portfolio and continuously challenging the validity of the investment thesis.
Gathering and analyzing market data to understand market conditions and principal components driving asset class performance; making recommendations based on the current environment and future expectations
Developing investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee, as well as key client deliverables
Thinking creatively about ways to improve the team’s existing processes, helping ensure quality, consistency, and thoroughness in their approach
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
3+ years of relevant work experience
Passion for both investing and business building
Strong understanding of global markets and asset classes, including private markets
Strong communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to write effectively
Exceptional work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, and desire to continually expand their understanding and improve
Collaborative workplace approach that fosters strong working relationships
Professional integrity
Desire to work in a dynamic environment, often under strict time constraints
Undergraduate degree required

Expected annual base salary range:
$150,000 - $160,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
