Job Title: Blackstone Life Sciences Investment Operations & FP&A, Analyst

Job Description: The Blackstone Life Sciences (BXLS) Finance team is responsible for the investment operations, fund administration, and general finance and reporting needs of the Life Sciences group based in Cambridge, MA. The BXLS Finance team assists in the execution and management of investment transactions, monitors investment portfolios, and ensures compliance with all fund regulatory requirements. The BXLS Finance team works closely with the investment team and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient, accurate investment operations and financial reporting. The BXLS Finance team is also responsible for financial planning and analysis (FP&A), performing planning, forecasting, budgeting and analytical activities to support BXLS’ financial health, strategic initiatives, and business decisions. This primarily entails revenue and expense forecasting, sensitivity analysis, fund modeling, and preparation of earnings-related materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the execution, settlement, and tracking of all investment transactions at the fund and portfolio investment levels
  • Maintaining and enhancing BXLS’ operating and fund models
  • Preparing and reviewing materials for investors, including memos, financial forecasts, meeting materials, and presentations
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual materials on BXLS’ financial results for presentation to Senior Leadership
  • Working closely with the investment team on various ad hoc requests and projects
  • Collaborating with teams across the firm, including Accounting, Valuations, Tax, Legal & Compliance, Investor Relations, and Audit

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other Business-related field
  • 1+ years of work experience in the Asset Management industry
  • Understanding of investment instruments, asset classes, and investment processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects by prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Possess a strong work ethic and professional integrity, a team player
  • Excellent time management skills and highly organized
  • A positive attitude and strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

Expected annual base salary range:

$90,000 - $125,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
