Business Unit: Global Fund Finance – Real Estate
Position Title: Assistant Vice President (AVP)
Position Description: This position will be involved in investment operations for Blackstone Real Estate Partners funds (“BREP”) and its underlying investments.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Pan, prepare and manage the capital call memo process
- Manage Fund liquidity by maintaining a comprehensive forecast model for each fund line of credit (including subscription and NAV lines)
- Work closely with capital markets professionals (BXCM) on investment level debt placement
- Monitor Fund LPA limitations and deal certificates / line of credit covenant compliance
- Coordinate fund level operating activities, credit facility maintenance, deal funding, and investor funding
- Prepare internal reporting for Real Estate COO & CFO on fund metrics, dry powder, and liquidity schedules; provide analysis and recommended actions
- Responsible for the oversight of prompt responses to internal requests, investor requests and ad hoc projects by the team
- Manage, train and develop staff both in the U.S. and India to assist with operational work
- Work with Legal and Compliance team to ensure compliance with various fund policies and procedures including LPA limitations, side-letter agreements, deal certificates, and line of credit covenants
- Coordinate the testing and implementation of initiatives to improve and streamline fund operations functions
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
- 8+ years of Big 4 experience in the private equity industry (Preferably private equity experience)
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- CPA or graduate degree preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized
- Possesses a strong work ethic, professional integrity, and a positive attitude
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects

Expected annual base salary range:
$125,000 - $185,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
