Position Description: This position will be involved in fund accounting, financial reporting, and operations for Blackstone Real Estate Partners funds (“BREP”) and its underlying investments.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist in the oversight of the funds’ quarterly close process and reporting to the public company
- Assist in the review of the funds’ quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements
- Assist in the review and preparation of the work paper supporting schedules for financial statement accounts, including foreign currency translations
- Coordinate fund level operating activities including credit facility maintenance, deal funding, and investor funding
- Coordinate with both internal and external auditors with all aspects of the annual audit and SOX 404 compliant
- Assist in the maintenance and review of the waterfall data for management fee, contribution, and distribution calculations
- Responsible for the review of investor management fee, contribution, distribution notices and capital account statements
- Work with Legal and Compliance team to ensure compliance with various fund policies and procedures
- Responsible for the prompt response to investors’ requests
- Manage, train, and develop staff in India to assist with accounting and operational work
- Assist with the testing and implementation of initiatives to improve and streamline fund accounting functions
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
- 3+ years of Big 4 or national accounting firms experience preferable private equity industry
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting
- CPA or graduate degree preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Investran knowledge a plus
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized
- Possesses a strong work ethic, professional integrity, and a positive attitude
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with and persuade a wide variety of partners/stakeholders
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects

Expected annual base salary range:
$105,000 - $140,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
