Job Description:
The BXCI Asset Allocation team offers Associates the experience on a professional team whose work involves delivering Blackstone’s investment management expertise and products to insurance companies. Associates at Blackstone have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of investing and can expect to be staffed on a number of transactions at once. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, they are expected to assume integral roles on portfolio management teams.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Blackstone’s business units to construct tailored multi-asset investment portfolios for insurers
- Interacting with BXCI clients to understand their investment objectives, answer questions about their portfolio, and offer potential investment opportunities
- Supporting insurance M&A activities by analyzing ways to drive value through investment portfolio repositioning
- Conducting insurance industry research and analysis
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
- 2+ years of investment banking, insurance, sales & trading, or asset management experience
- Strong financial modeling and overall Excel skills and familiarity with fixed income markets
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a lean team environment, often amid competing deadlines
- Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, and positive attitude

Expected annual base salary range:
$120,000 - $160,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
