We are building the next generation of human resource systems, using best-in-class data science and analytics to optimize all aspects of the firm’s workforce. Reporting & Insights is a front-line team, working directly with our clients, focusing on understanding business needs and rapidly developing production solutions to help our partners in HR and Blackstone’s businesses make faster, more sustainable, more strategic, and more cost-effective decisions. This role will report directly to and work in partnership with the Vice President of Reporting & Insights.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Serve as an analytics partner to several functions in HR and external business units: learn the needs of the business, scope out solutions, and roll up their sleeves to build high quality and sustainable products with help from their teammates.

  • Create and deliver concise and effective executive-level presentations to communicate actionable insights.

  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate ambiguity and develop recommendations for better business decisions.

  • Continuously enhance our reporting and analytics framework, helping to shape our roadmap, document internal processes, and standardize metrics and definitions.

  • Support and improve our long-term HR process in close collaboration with teammates across the division, including headcount planning, recruiting, talent, diversity, and compensation teams.

  • Advise stakeholders to use our reporting tools and to identify key insights.

  • Help ensure data completeness and accuracy in all our systems and help safeguard critically sensitive data.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in analytics, with a strong emphasis on providing analytics solutions to clients.

  • 3+ years of experience in building dashboards with a focus on storytelling (preferably in Tableau).

  • 3+ years of experience using SQL and some knowledge of data warehousing best practices.

  • Experience responding promptly to frequent, novel requests with a strong focus on data correctness and completeness.

  • Strong communication and data presentation skills, including experience creating clear, concise, and executive-ready actionable recommendations.

  • Experience building reports directly in an HRIS system using calculated fields, worklets, dashboards, and composite reports (preferably in Workday).

  • Experience with requirement gathering, technical documentation, and project planning techniques.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in HR, Technology, Analytics, Data Science, or related field.

  • A strong interest in helping build the next generation of data-driven human management systems.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Understanding and interest in industrial and organizational psychology.

  • Knowledge of statistical concepts (correlation, regression, significance testing), research methods, and experimental designs.
