PWS is seeking an accomplished candidate with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and partners to join as an Associate in our PWS Global Product Strategy, APAC ex Japan team.
Global Product Strategy is focused on designing flagship, category-killing products that deliver Blackstone’s investment capabilities, redefining the accessibility of alternatives for private wealth clients. As a member of the team, the individual will be responsible for driving the design and end-to-end development of new funds. The ideal candidate will be creative and passionate about researching and creating innovative product structures and solutions to unlock new markets and distribution channels. Upon product launch, the APAC ex Japan team will also serve as specialists, providing domain knowledge and expertise on investments, performance, market dynamics and competitors.
Primary job responsibilities will include:
- Support the design and launch of global and local funds, balancing the regulatory framework/constraints with client preferences and emerging focus (liquidity, yield, returns, etc.)
- Partner with senior leaders across Private Wealth Solutions and Blackstone’s investment businesses to create bespoke products designed for private wealth clients
- Conduct research on product structures, regulatory developments and competitor fund launches to help identify scale opportunities
- Engage with APAC ex Japan regulators and trade bodies on potential regulatory updates and proposals that maybe relevant to the PWS business
- Work with internal Blackstone teams on the full scope of product development, including the buildout of operations, technology, marketing and finance
- Support multiple strategic initiatives and numerous firm-wide and cross-business projects
Qualifications:
In addition to a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, asset management, consulting or wealth management, the successful candidate should have:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Outstanding record of academic achievement and professional accomplishment
- Familiarity with global fund structures and regulatory landscape in APAC ex Japan

- “Can do” attitude, sense of urgency, diligent and conscientious work ethic
- High level of patience and emotional intelligence in order to work effectively within a dynamic environment

- Written and spoken Mandarin a plus
