The Role:
The Event Management objective is to ensure that every conference and event, internal or external, demonstrates the highest level of quality, cost efficiency and control, while liaising with each business unit and host(s) as a strategic partnership. The Events team project manager leads global initiatives tailored to key audiences: Limited Partners, portfolio company C-suites, financial advisors, and business elites.
Responsibilities:
Planning
Design and manage project plans for firm high priority programs; spearhead working teams to deliver within timeline and budget
Break down key initiatives into actionable tasks, assign responsibilities across working teams, and track progress across all stakeholders
Lead calls and track execution progress to drive priority initiatives; synthesize complex problems and communicate to broad range of stakeholders
Identify KPIs and design post-event feedback surveys; build event recaps using data-driven insights to drive actionable next steps
Mitigate risks, roadblocks and dependencies throughout event planning lifecycle; anticipate strategy adjustments, recommend creative solutions to influence business decisions
Communicate regularly on project status ensuring transparency across the Marketing team, drive coordination across front and back office support functions
Spearhead development of presentation materials to executive level audiences, outline event strategy, onsite customer experience and content activation plans
Collaborate with Digital Strategy team to ensure event-based content is promoted across Blackstone’s digital channels including social, web and email
Ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across event collateral; provide quality control with context (e.g., review event site, agenda and emails to attendees)
Draft communications to internal attendees, develop event brief connecting event significance to firm’s fundraising and community building efforts
Operations
Build, implement and evolve key event processes to deliver consistent global scale and facilitate team growth
Develop and manage relationships with key marketing partners across Design, Production, Content and Digital Strategy teams; ensure consistent prioritization and goal alignment
Support department planning, maintain marquee event roadmap; scope team roles/responsibilities, oversee meeting governance and resource allocation
Meet regularly with cross-functional marketing partners to understand bandwidth; share insights and problem solve
Represent Event team in Marketing department project management meetings; active member on strategic-cross divisional initiatives
Qualifications:

5+ years of professional work experience
Experience as a project manager in a dynamic environment with proven track record of successfully executing multiple projects simultaneously
Possess a strong work ethic and professional integrity, a team player
Excellent time management skills and highly organized and strong attention to detail
Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance or Communications

Expected annual base salary range:
$100,000 - $150,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
