Role:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect & Development Manager with a strong background in collaboration and leadership. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work effectively with teams to develop optimal solutions for complex problems. Additionally, they will have a proven track record of elevating the capabilities of team members by fostering self-reliance and advanced problem-solving skills.
The candidate will establish development best practices, promote the use of ServiceNow as a general software development platform across the technology department, and manage the program globally. Responsibilities include installing guardrails, creating a self-regulating community, and providing training and documentation.
In this role, you will collaborate with a group of talented stakeholders in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment to support the implementation of processes, workflows, complex integration and technology solutions for Blackstone. You will be expected to provide strategic direction, build consensus, create timelines, and hold team members accountable for delivery goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Citizen Development Platform Leadership
Secure support from senior leadership to endorse and promote the platform across the organization.
Conduct live demonstrations and hands-on workshops to showcase the platform's capabilities (native and in-house developed).
Provide clear, concise, and accessible documentation to help users understand and utilize the platform effectively.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and updating the platform.

System Design & Architecture
Develop and document high-level architecture and design for ServiceNow solutions and associated integrations with other software systems.
Ensure that the architecture is scalable, secure, and meets business requirements.

Technical Leadership
Lead the development of technical standards and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to develop the ServiceNow team consisting of developers and QA analysts based in India and US/India-based business analysts, ITSM and ITAM product owners.

Technology Evaluation and Selection
Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Code Quality and Review
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.
Currently code is reviewed during weekly meetings prior to production deployment.
Establish and enforce coding standards and practices while making this process more efficient and delegated to team members.

Integration and Interoperability
Ensure interoperability between different systems and platforms.
Design and implement integration strategies for various systems and services, ensuring security, isolation and error reporting that alerts the appropriate stakeholders.

Performance Optimization
Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the software architecture.
Implement strategies for optimizing system performance, scalability, and accountability.
Qualifications:
8+ years in a corporate IT environment with a medium to large deployment of ServiceNow.
3+ years as a Developer Manager and Architect.
Expert in ServiceNow development and architecture with proficiency in JavaScript, Python, SQL, Web Services and GIT.
Strong verbal/written communication (e.g., presentations, technical documentation), with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels (e.g., technical teams and CTOs).
Demonstrated significant leadership experience as a team lead or similar role.
Project management experience.
A self-starting, entrepreneurial attitude.
A desire to be a part of and grow a great team and organization.
The passion to learn, grow, and improve our business.
Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
Ability to work within complex systems and large data sets.
Major in Software Engineering or Computer Science.

Expected annual base salary range:
$110,000 - $225,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
