Job Description

Off-Cycle Interns in Blackstone’s Infrastructure & Asset-Based Credit Group gain exposure to a wide range of transactions investing across a range of asset classes across the capital structure. Investment strategies include asset-based lending, corporate debt, and infrastructure debt solutions. Investment structures range from senior debt to common equity, offering interns the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that finance the real economy.

Interns are generalists and actively participate in all aspects of projects, often working on multiple assignments simultaneously. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, deal teams are lean, and interns are expected to take on important and integral roles. Interns are deeply involved in screening, analysing, and structuring investment opportunities, while attending client and internal meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions. Prior internship experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, advisory, leveraged finance, structured finance, or infrastructure debt is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and modelling to support investment decisions.
  • Performing research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking across industries and companies.
  • Developing presentations and drafting investment memoranda for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the execution of transactions, including structuring and negotiations.
  • Leading individual research projects focused on specific industries or companies.
  • Participating in client and internal meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions.

Qualifications

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours.

The successful candidate must possess:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A desire to work in a team environment with dynamic roles
  • A basic knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Self-motivation to find solutions independently, and humility to acknowledge limits and uncertainties
  • Sincere commitment to personal and professional development
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Good judgement

To be considered for the H2 2025 Off-Cycle Intern position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • CV must include expected graduation month/year and grade and should be in PDF format
  • Must be able to start between September/October 2025 and be available for up to six months

Knowledge of accounting and finance and experience of investment banking are desirable, but not necessary.
