Job Title: Real Estate Finance & Analytics, AVP

The Real Estate Finance & Analytics team is looking for an AVP to support the Global Blackstone Real Estate Opportunistic Platform (“BREP”). The core focus of the group is to evaluate, analyze, and summarize portfolio investment valuation and forecasting analytics for the global BREP business. In addition, the team is responsible for performance and attribution reporting for internal and external purposes, as well as the forecasting and planning for investments. The team is also called upon to handle a variety of ad hoc and recurring analyses related to fundraising, reporting, and global investor relations.

Key Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of Real Estate valuation deliverables and portfolio/Fund level forecasting to members of senior management and various stakeholders
  • Partner with Real Estate Asset Management and Portfolio Management teams to produce high-quality published materials, including reports, presentations, and ad hoc analytical deliverables
  • Responsible for qualitative and analytical tasks essential to the business, ensuring careful execution, strong attention to detail, and the delivery of meaningful insights to support informed decision-making
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the team including, but not limited to, review of materials, tracking of deliverables, and completion of ad-hoc requests
  • Manage the creation and development of presentation materials to effectively communicate results within RE and wider Blackstone
  • Build and maintain relationships with core constituencies including, deal professionals, Institutional Client Services, Asset Managers, Portfolio Management, Accounting, and Operations
  • Drive enhancements and improvements to the group’s processes, procedures, offshore resources, and use of technology
  • Support the ongoing training and professional development of analysts, associates, and offshore resources
  • This is designed to be a role involving mentorship with trajectory toward greater managerial responsibilities based on performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar discipline (CFA and/or CPA a plus)
  • 6+ years of experience in valuations, transaction services, a private equity fund, consulting, or other relevant analytical roles
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment that requires execution of recurring deliverables as well as projects and initiatives in support of a rapidly growing business
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high EQ, and confidently and competently handle interactions with deal professionals and the Asset Management and Portfolio Management teams
  • A highly motivated individual with strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Confidence in presenting to large groups of senior leadership (e.g., Firmwide Valuation Committee, Board of Directors)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required
  • Proficiency in iLevel and Anaplan a plus
  • Proficiency in Real Estate and Private Close Ended Drawdown vehicles is a plus
  • Experience managing a team of at least 3 individuals a plus

Expected annual base salary range:

$125,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
